In Sunday’s newsletter, I mentioned a recipe coming up today that would use the Danish pastry dough—these lemon blueberry danishes are the perfect early summer breakfast treat to make using your new pastry skill!

The buttery, flaky dough is baked with a lemony cream cheese filling, then it’s topped with lemon curd and a quick, no-cook blueberry compote. It’s creamy, it’s sweet, it’s tart, and it’s delicious.

You will need one sheet of Danish pastry dough to make these. Get the recipe here if you missed Sunday’s newsletter! I made a video to walk you through each step of the laminating process.
