I've been dreaming up this project for months and I’m so excited to finally share it with all of you. My hope is that it will give you a chance to learn and try new things in the kitchen!
You might be wondering why I’m starting a different platform from my regular one on Preppy Kitchen. The simple answer? I love connecting with you all. Substack gives us a unique opportunity to hang out in a more interactive way and get to know each other on a more personal level (without algorithms getting in the way).

I'm looking forward to diving deeper into all things baking with you! I spent over a decade teaching middle school math and science before turning to creating delicious recipes full-time, and I’m excited to bring my passion for teaching and food together on this platform, too. We'll get to explore unique recipes, experiment with techniques, and test out new ideas together.
I’ll also be in the chat to hear what you want to see in new books or recipes, and help guide you along your journey to become a better baker. I’ll share behind-the-scenes looks at new projects I'm working on, and of course, you’ll get to see what life is like at Hedge Hill Farm including what new adventures Brian, the boys, and I are up to.
