This cake is a slice of summer in dessert form! It is buttery and rich while also being packed with bright citrus flavor—not to mention a hefty soak of margarita syrup. The tequila and Cointreau round out the flavor of the cake, with the finish of flaky salt giving you that same flavor and feel of a salted rim.

This is the perfect dessert to make for a potluck or barbecue. Because the cake is soaked, it stays moist for a few days, so you can easily make it the day before, then glaze it shortly before taking it to your get-together. If you want a kid-friendly or NA option, I’ve included that below as well. Happy baking!
