Oh Danishes, even when you’re bad you’re still good. I think it’s the cream cheese filling that makes them so good even when the pastry is lacking and the toppings are not great. But why settle for mediocrity when you can make your own so easily and they’ll be beyond delicious?

I titled these “easy” because you can simply buy a box of frozen puff pastry, sweeten some cream cheese, and slice a few fresh apples before assembling. Yes, you can TOTALLY make these with homemade puff pastry (which I actually enjoy making and freezing for later when I have some spare time in the kitchen). BUT picking up a box of store bought puff pastry is perfect for some instant gratification (and is still very delicious). My favorite brand to use is Dufour as it’s made with butter, but they all work well in this recipe.
